Best Practices For Psychic and Mediumship Practice Playground

Intro to Practice Playground:

Practice Playground is a space to gather and take a pause in our everyday life to connect, have fun, and explore something that is really deep and pure within us- our intuition. I believe its our birthright to connect into that sacred space of connection that is a alive within all of us and to give it a voice.

Intuitive connection is an ability we all have, it’s cultivating the availability to experience it. Practice Playground supports you in cultivating that availability through practice.

Practice Playground is here for you to learn to understand and trust and build that relationship with yourself, intuitive expression, psychic senses and connection to spirit side of life.

2026 Year Long Practice Playground will have 30 unique practice sessions. Participants either join the year long group or join in “drop-in” basis. Every Practice Playground Session will include:

  • Opening Music

  • New Teaching Topic and Explanation

  • Unique Warm Up

  • Exercise Explanation and Options Given (per ‘adventure’ level)

  • Paired Exercise in Zoom Breakout Rooms (every Pal gets a chance to practice)

  • Feedback and Reflection

  • Larger Group Reflection and Question & Answer

Connection can only happen through the power of love. Allow for yourself to feel held in and flow with that love. This is also a time to allow for your spiritual helpers to support you in discovering what is ready to unfold with your psychic an mediumistic expression and personal healing journey.

The analogy of the playground:

Picture yourself at a park a sunny day with lots of pals on the playground. You’ll see kids doing upside down flips and tricks on the monkey bars, some on the swings, others gently moving up and down on the teeter-totters, and kiddos playing in the sand box. At Practice Playground there is something for everyone who feels called to be there. Where ever you’re at on any give day with your intuitive development is totally fine. Every time we meet we will have exercises for folks who are on the monkey bars, teeter-totters, and playing in the sand. Some day’s you’ll feel like doing flips and some days you’ll want to play in the sand. Where ever you’re at is fine, allow for yourself to honor where you’re at and allow Practice Playground to honor where you are at.

Best Practices on the Playground:

Messing Up and Getting “No’s” is all Part of it:

It’s OKAY to mess up and get “it” wrong! Just know that your beautiful heart is filled with love and to trust that, and be open to the journey of discovery. When you do fall at the Playground, know that you did your best, dust yourself off, let the experience add to your library of wisdom, and jump back in!

What kind of Sitter do you need?

Know what kind of sitter do you need and ask it of your sitter. Do you need someone to be generous with your statements or a sitter who will be really strict with the yes no and I don’t knows. Also, share what you’re working on with your sitter so they can keep an eye out for it when it comes to feedback.

Be a safe space for your Practice Playground Pals:

When you’re a sitter, be available to hold a safe space for your Pals to be vulnerable. Everyone here is doing something new. Every time you connect to your intuition, psychic and mediumistic abilities, we are stepping into the unknown. We have no idea what is going to be unfolding until it’s unfolding. To be a good sitter cultivates an environment that is free of expectation and free of judgment.

Confidentiality:

We honor confidentiality. Therefore, remain anonymous with each other. For example, use terms like “sitter” rather than using your Pal’s name when doing group reflections.

Experience rather than perform:

When it’s your turn to be the psychic mediums in Practice Playground, know that you are not here to give your partner the most magical reading of their life. You are here to learn how to connect with our intuitive senses, mediumistic abilities, not to perform in any way. Relax and be available for your senses so you can learn, trust, honor, know that is how you access this with your awareness. Discover the window into your intuitive flow state. When you discover how you access it through practice, you can come back to it over and over and see what possibilities unfold from there.

Lingo Used In Practice Playground:

Sitter: The person receiving the reading on the psychic or mediumshistic level

Psychic Medium: The person giving the reading

Psychic Level: Connection to the soul of the sitter.

Mediumisitic Level: Connecting with departed loved ones for the sitter

Communicator: Is the loved one from the spirit world who is communicating through the medium

Intuition: I use this term as an umbrella for all our senses that are beyond the physical five. An awareness of the intelligence of your soul, awareness into the soul of someone else (psychic), spirit (mediumistic) environment or other. Presents itself as: quick insights, random truth drops or symbols, knowings, synchronicity. Intuition is experienced outside of the reasoning process but within our soul senses (knowings, emotion, inner visions, aka clairsenses etc)

Role of the sitter:

  • Create an energetically loving and safe space for your brave practicing psychic medium to explore their expression deeply.

  • Don’t expect a “five star” reading and message.

  • Don’t take control of their experience by interrupting and asking them questions.

  • Answer just a YES, NO, or I DON’T KNOW per statement unless otherwise communicated by your practicing psychic medium

  • Write down the statements for your practicing psychic medium so you can reflect back during feedback

  • Only give specific feedback that your practicing psychic medium is requesting.

  • On the off chance that the Practicing Psychic Medium is communicating something that makes you feel uncomfortable, you always have the right to ask them to stop.

Role of the Practicing Psychic Medium:

  • Try your best to follow the given exercises. It’s helpful to write down the exercise that you’re doing so you can make sure you follow it.

  • Tune into the love that is holding the practice and flow, have fun, and express with as much heartfelt integrity as possible. Being true to your experience.

  • After the exercise, reflect. Ask yourself: “Did I follow the exercise, why or why not?” Get curious and lead your time for feedback and reflection with your sitter.

How to make the most of the feedback time at Practice Playground:

The practicing psychic medium is in charge of their feedback. After you practice you’ll have some curiosities about the experience you just had. This is your time to reflect and ask your sitter those specific questions.

Possible Question To Ask Your Sitter For Feedback:

  • I got a “no” for XYZ…was I close?

  • I understood XYZ but didn’t say it…did that have meaning for you?

  • What statement(s) did I share that was meaningful but I didn’t unfold it any further?

  • I’m working on XYZ. Given your perspective from this reading- What is something that I could learn?

Tip for Sitters- As much as you’d like to share your story (believe me I know the feeling) this isn’t a time to share with the psychic medium your story. Try to honor what feedback they are asking for. We will have a separate time and space to share in this way, but often not during the Practice Playground.

Post Practice Integration Tips:

After you did your experience get compassionately curious and ask yourself these questions:

  • What did I discover?

  • What did I learn about myself?

  • What did I learn about my intuitive, psychic and mediumistic expression?

  • What made me tense up and try to control the experience?

  • What made me feel free, to allow and surrender in the experience and my expression?

  • What are some insecurities that are creeping in? At what point did they creep in? In what other circumstances outside of Practice Playground do these insecurities arrive? What self care actions can I take to support my healing journey with these insecurities?

Your own personal healing journey -

The more you deepen your healing journey the more your spiritual expression deepens. They deepen and rise together. Make a list of all the actions you could take that would nurture your healing journey. Continue to make those appointments with your therapist, deepen your self care practices, connect with your friends and fellow Practice Playground Pals; just to name some examples. Also, allow for yourself to continue forward with your daily self care habits such as yoga, journaling, meditation, or any exercises that are nurturing for you.

With our Practice group, allow for what you’re discovering with our time together to be integrated in your ordinary moments in your life. For example, if you’re working on trusting yourself in Practice Playground, start to trust yourself in your daily life.
